A Night of Laughter – Annual Dinner (read more)

The Variety Club Golf Society was founded in 1965 and raises money to purchase Sunshine Coaches for schools and care centres looking after disabled and disadvantaged children.

Money is raised at our events, but also through our kind sponsors who give so generously, safe in the knowledge that their donations will help to change the lives of many children.

To date the Society has put over 1,150 coaches on the road, averaging over 20 coaches per year.  Could you help to donate another Sunshine Coach?

This year we have also teamed up with Golf for Disabled Children, who, as the name suggests, organise for disabled children to have golf lessons at their local golf clubs.  Please visit the Golf for Disabled Children page to discover more about this highly rewarding venture.

Our Captain

Adger is a top comedian, after-dinner speaker and auctioneer.  Having been in “the business” since 1985, Adger has entertained people all over the country, using his natural talent to withdraw money from people as an auctioneer!  A keen golfer playing off 8, Adger joined the Society in 2004, and has kept us laughing ever since.  He has been an avid supporter attending as many events as possible, which made Adger an obvious choice for Captain.  Having been King Rat for the Grand Order of Water Rats in 2018, we are sure Adger will fit beautifully into his new role.

Play some great golf courses and raise money for a great cause!
