This event was founded by our very own Bill Sangster in 2013 and we have returned to stunning Loch Lomand every year since.
This year, the event was sold out with the maximum of 23 teams, with each team made up of a Rugby Legend and three amateurs. Celebrities included Jason Leonard, Chris Robshaw, Phil Vickery, Toby Flood, Zinzan Brooke, Martin Corry and many more!
Funds were raised from team entries as well as the usual ‘on course fundraising’ plus we were lucky to receive two substantial individual anonymous donations on the day. We also ran successful Live & Silent Auctions.
Our fundraising target was to beat last year’s figure of £200k and this we easily achieved with a magnificent total raised of over £330,000 – which will, of course, go straight towards putting a further 11 Sunshine Coaches on the road. This brings the total raised from this event over the years to well over £1m.
