Variety Golf joins the PGA and the wider golfing community in paying tribute to HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh who sadly died last week. Chairman, Pip Burley, said: “He was a fine all-round sportsman in his own right and a genuinely charitable man. He was an honorary member of The Royal and Ancient and founder of the Variety Club of Great Britain, now Variety the Children’s Charity. He was also behind The Duke of Edinburgh Cup, an annual international series of charity golf events which has helped young people all over the world. He will be sadly missed”.
