It’s been a busy time for Variety Golf with so many of our earlier events re-scheduled towards the end of the year due to the pandemic. However, our wonderful members seem up for it, with all our current events full or over-subscribed. The courses we play are gradually easing their restrictions and we have been able to revert to having proper sit-down meals which, apart from being more sociable, make prize-givings and fundraising much easier.
As we near the end of the season with only four more golf events to go – plus our Christmas Lunch at the Hilton on December 10th – it is looking as if we will have another bumper year. In fact, thanks to the extraordinary generosity our sponsors and members, we might even end up presenting a record number of Sunshine Coaches! Which, at the end of the day, is what we are all about.
