I hope you are all keeping well at this most frustrating and challenging time. Personally, I am pleased to say that after 12 days of having all the main symptoms of Covid 19, both Lisa and I have fought off the virus and are feeling much brighter and stronger now.
As a Charity we have decided to take advantage of the Government’s Furlough Job Retention Scheme and, as of Friday 10th April, we have taken the difficult decision to make both Carol and Samantha’s jobs furloughed until the end of May to protect them both financially.
However, I will still be working flat out with the help our Committee, to keep Variety Golf moving along – with you, our Members, very much in mind.
As you may already have guessed, we have had to cancel all our planned events up until the end of May. I am working hard with the clubs to re-arrange dates so that we can still play as much golf as possible in the latter part of the year.
Finally, we have also had to postpone President Jimmy Tarbuck’s 80th Birthday Lunch until Tuesday 20th October. Please let us know if you can still make this date.
