Sir Bruce’s wife, Lady Wilnelia Forsyth, joined a star-studded line up of celebrity members including our Captain Steve Coppell, and some we haven’t seen for a while including Denise Lewis, Zinzan Brooke, David Seaman and Mark Ramprakash.
Two Coaches were presented on the day. The first by David Welsh of Joie UK who presented his 5th Sunshine Coach of the year and his 15th since joining forces with Variety. It went to the Greenhill School in Cardiff. As we have said many times, thanks so much, David, for your continued support.
The second Coach was presented to the Ynysowen School and sponsored by The Character group who have now donated 12 Sunshine coaches in the last twelve years. A huge thank you to both the sponsors who have dedicated their fundraising to providing children with these life changing vehicles.
The scores matched the stunning weather and the Team winners of the day were the DPD Distribution Team with Variety member Sam Bernard.
Ian Irving entertained us brilliantly and hosted a game of Heads & Tails, followed by John Conteh, MBE, who conducted a very successful Live Auction.
Lady Wilnelia Forsyth was on sparkling form and spoke beautifully with some great stories and memories of the late Sir Bruce before presenting the Sir Bruce Forsyth Trophy to winner Peter James who won with a superb 45 points.
A huge thank you to the event sponsor David Welsh of Joie UK. The event itself raised enough funds to present another Sunshine Coach to a Special Needs School early next year.
