On Thursday, May 5th, we were at the sensational Brocket Hall for our first Variety Golf Stan Boardman Classic. The event attracted the biggest turnout so far this year with 26 teams competing. This event was kindly sponsored by David Welsh of JOIE UK.
The weather was incredible, the course was in great condition and the entertainment during dinner was superb. Stan, of course, hosted the evening with Ian Irving acting as MC and auctioneer.
We also had Stan’s great friend and Opportunity Knocks rival, Berni Flint, as the opening act followed by singing sensation, James H Williams, finishing off the evening in party style.
Huge thanks to David Welsh who presented a JOIE Sunshine Coach in their fabulous yellow company livery to a school based in Stan’s home town of Willaston.
Including the Joie Baby coach, the day raised over £50,000 – a staggering sum thanks to Stan Boardman and David Welsh, as well as Brocket Hall which provided a magnificent backdrop for our Sunshine Coach presentation!
