On Wednesday, we hosted our first Strictly Come Golfing event at Knole Park GC in Sevenoaks and what a great day we had! The weather stayed dry, the atmosphere in the Clubhouse was fantastic and Knole Park really did accommodate us so well. Such a beautiful place to play golf and with over 2,000 deer who live in the Knole Park Estate, they certainly graced us with some special views (see pic below).

The winning team was Roger de Courcey, Tony Negal, Saleem Chaudhry & Anthony Trafford with 91 points winning by a single point and beating Liam Brady & his guests into second place with 90 points, and with 89 points and claiming third place was Steve Coppell, David Harris, John Griffin & Alan Robinson.

Our last year’s Captain Adger Brown did exceptionally well in the Auction and was on top form entertaining us so well and we managed to raise in excess of £17,000 which was fantastic and will go towards our next Sunshine Coach.

We also presented a Sunshine Coach to the Brooklands School (who are based in Reigate). Their headteacher, Debbie, made a lovely and emotional speech and told us how much this Coach would mean to their students who suffer with severe or profound multiple learning difficulties, including Autism. This Coach is their first with wheelchair access, so they are especially excited to now be able to transport their students who use wheelchairs.

Our next event is actually my 9th Jamie’s Annual Charity Pro-Am at the Grove on Saturday 24th October and I have some fantastic Tour Pros from the European Tour, Ladies European Tour, Seniors Tour and Challenge Tour.
